Applied research

artificial lift
Knowing that every well will require equipment to help bring fluids to surface at some point in its lifetime, understanding the downhole multiphase flow, and how the different equipment react and perform under different conditions is key.
Trevisan Tech has in-depth knowledge of equipment performance under transient and multiphase flow conditions and with a proven track record of helping producers with problems ranging from sizing jet pumps under two-phase flow conditions, to inflow instabilities in ESP operated SAGD wells. We can assist with selecting, sizing, operating and troubleshooting any artificial lift equipment.
Reliability Engineering
Estimating equipment run-life and replacement or maintenance frequency is part of the responsibilities of production engineers. This can be properly done by performing statistical analysis on installation and failure data, however, this requires significant background effort.

Multiphase flow
Flowing production from well bottom to process facilities involves the understanding of how oil, water, gas and even sand interact inside the annulus, tubing and flowline.
Trevisan Tech has extensive experience in multiphase flow modeling (transient and steady state), experimental and field testing, data interpretation and troubleshooting, and can assist operators with developing tools for transient analysis, network optimization, and surface equipment sizing.

Considering how fluids react to temperature and pressure inside the flowline, a new level of complexity appears. Wax, asphaltenes, and scale deposition and hydrates formation present a risk to achieving production rates objectives.
